Saints Row IV: National Treasure Edition is a chaotic open-world shooter where you play as the leader of a gang called the Saints. The game throws you into a mix of over-the-top missions, absurd vehicle customization, and ridiculous weapons. You’ll fight aliens, steal superpowers, and cause mayhem in a cartoonish version of the Midwest. The National Treasure Edition bundles the base game with 29 DLCs that add new missions, gear, and challenges. Most of these extras were sold separately for over $60 total. The game runs on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. A standout is the Grass Roots ‘Merica weapon, a multi-tool gun that cycles through modes like a flamethrower, minigun, and rocket launcher. It’s a ridiculous but fun addition to the already wild arsenal. The DLCs expand the already massive content list with things like new outfits, abilities, and side missions. The game’s humor leans into political satire and meme culture, which some players find refreshing while others find grating. The package feels like a value play but still delivers the series’ signature excess.
