Sakura Halloween is a brief visual novel following Miyu, a vampire with a swollen ego and a ghostly roommate named Sissy. After being snubbed from a high-society Halloween gathering, Miyu storms the event only to collide with her ex-girlfriend Sabrina, a witch determined to humiliate her. The story unfolds through dialogue and static art, balancing self-absorbed banter with a slasher-flick vibe. Players make minimal choices that don’t alter the outcome but color the tone of interactions. The game stands out for its sharp character dynamics. Miyu’s delusional confidence clashes with Sissy’s deadpan realism, creating dry humor that offsets the gothic setting. While part of an 18-game series, it functions as a standalone story with no need for prior knowledge. Community feedback notes its brisk runtime (about an hour) and fans of niche yuri fare may appreciate the snarky, low-stakes romance. Free on Itch.io, it’s a quick bite for fans of dialogue-driven indie games.
Players control Miyu de Lioncourt, a vampire who is not invited to the Halloween party of the countess Elizabeth. Miyu is from the Lioncouft family, the most famous vampire family in France. Permantently clampered to her hair lives Sissy, a ghost, whom she met in Germany. Miyu thinks very highly of herself and thus brags a lot about how she is great and that everyone likes to spend time with her. Sissy is more down to earth and sees Miyu for whom she really is.
