Saturday School is a short but sharp point-and-click adventure where you help Vivi plot her escape from Saturday detention. The clock is ticking as she needs to slip out before her friends leave for the beach. Players interact with objects and characters in a single classroom setting, solving logic puzzles and finding hidden items to progress. The game’s tight structure and time pressure create urgency that keeps momentum high. Developer Edmundo Ruiz Ghanem released it in 2005 for PC as part of a speed-development challenge. What stands out is how much polish fits into its tiny scope. The puzzles are clever without being frustrating, and the dialogue feels lived-in. It earned a nomination for Best Short Game at the 2005 AGS Awards, a nod that still holds up. At under an hour long, it’s a quick test of observation and timing. The nomination and competition roots hint at its pedigree, but the real draw is the fun, focused challenge.
