Second Samurai is a follow up where you chase a time-traveling villain to feudal Japan. The game blends side scrolling combat with puzzle solving across 10 levels split into sub levels. Each section ends with a boss battle emphasizing arcade style action. You begin weaponless but can collect swords and daggers as you advance. Hidden areas open more of the final sequence while extra modes like a shooter add variety. The game supports co op multiplayer and offers multiple paths through its levels.
