Self Destruct is a frantic top-down shooter where you pilot a tiny ship through 250 escalating waves of enemies. Each session throws new challenges your way thanks to procedurally generated attacks that keep the action fresh. You can fire your weapon deploy a shrinking shield or unleash a nuke to clear the screen, but resources are tight. Power-ups drop after kills offering shield refills weapon upgrades nuke recharges or a rare instant max-out boost. The math adds up fast as you balance survival and scoring. The game’s replayability comes from its ever-changing waves ensuring no two runs feel the same. Made by Terry Cavanagh known for inventive indie titles it’s a tight 25-minute blast of chaos that’s stuck with fans over the years. Initially requiring an internet connection for leaderboards an offline version later let players focus on the mayhem without distractions. Small in size but not in ambition it’s proof of how simple mechanics can create lasting tension.
