Sengoku Cannon is a bullet-hell shooter where you pilot a mecha through chaotic battles. The game throws waves of enemies and projectiles at you while you dodge, strafe, and unleash rapid fire. Each level ramps up the intensity with tighter corridors and faster enemy spreads. You upgrade weapons by collecting scattered power-ups but one misstep means instant respawns. The controls are tight and responsive making it easy to jump back in even if you die often. The game originally released in 2005 but recent ports brought it to Switch and PC in 2020. While the story is shallow and visuals feel dated the challenge factor remains sharp. Some players knock it for repetitive enemy patterns but others praise the precision required. With no online leaderboards and minimal polish it appeals to a niche but dedicated audience. The sequel Sengoku Ace II is often considered better but this entry still holds its own for fans of old school shoot em ups.
