Sengoku Night Blood is a visual novel with dating simulation elements set in a fictionalized version of feudal Japan. Players make choices that influence relationships with characters across different story arcs. The game features anime-style artwork and voice acting. It originally launched as a mobile title with a planned Nintendo Switch release. The game inspired a 12 episode anime series that aired in late 2017. Despite initial plans for continued support, the mobile version shut down in late 2019 along with the cancellation of the Switch port. The collaboration between Marvelous Entertainment and Otomate resulted in a title that blended historical themes with romantic storytelling.
