Sengoku Rance: Limited Edition merges turn-based strategy with a visual novel in a satirical take on Japan’s Warring States era. You guide Rance and allies through tactical battles, managing troop movements and resources while navigating a story filled with over-the-top parodies of historical figures. Choices in the narrative branch the plot, blending humor and intrigue as you encounter fictionalized versions of Nobunaga, Kenshin, and more. The gameplay balances strategic depth with quirky character interactions, all set against a world where hot springs and chaos collide. The limited edition bundles physical collectibles that fans will appreciate: a sturdy box, 80-page manual, reversible DVD case, and an OST CD. The package also includes a digital download card and acrylic keychain, making it a treat for those who want both the game and its extras. While the series has a cult following, this edition’s tangible rewards and mix of strategy and absurdity stand out. With its niche appeal and layered presentation, it caters to players who enjoy tactical challenges paired with eccentric storytelling.
The story takes place during the 4th Sengoku (warring states) era of Japan, an area of the Rance World which parodies medieval real-world Japan. Sengoku Rance picks up where Rance 6 left off. Rance, after saving the nation of Zeth from destruction, ran away so he won’t have to marry the princess. He and Sill ended up in Japan for a hotspring trip, upsetting the power balance of Japan, and sets the unification of its provinces in motion. Meanwhile, an ancient evil power stirs from its slumber… Meet the alternate reality versions of Oda Nobunaga, Uesugi Kenshin, Takeda Shingen, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Mori Motonari, One Eyed Masamune, Hojo Soun, Sakamoto Ryouma, Yamamoto Isoroku, Saint Francis Xavier, and many more famous Japanese historical figures in the world of Rance!
