Shin Nippon Pro Wrestling is a fighting game built for the Virtual Boy that never actually shipped. You control a wrestler in a single player match against an opponent who tries to knock you out. The developer Tomy planned this release back in December 1995 but cancelled it before anyone could play. You would have used the monochrome red display to see your character throw moves and grapple on the mat. This title stands out mostly because of its history rather than any gameplay features we can actually test. The project was a lost piece of wrestling media that fans now study as a curiosity about what might have been on Nintendo's short lived 3D console. There are no user ratings or community stats since the game never reached stores. Some retro gaming groups track down prototype discs to keep the idea alive, but most people only know it existed through old development leaks and magazine previews from that era.
