Shiro casts you as Holo, a determined sister trekking through forests, temples, and dungeons to track down her missing sibling. The gameplay blends precise platforming with straightforward combat, all rendered in sharp pixel art. Each level demands timing and reflexes as you leap over hazards, bash enemies, and solve light puzzles. The controls are tight, the challenges gradually ramp up, and the retro visuals pop with color. The game shines in its level variety and consistent polish. Early areas focus on basic jumps and enemy types, while later stages layer environmental threats and tighter platforming. A few boss fights add welcome variety without overcomplicating things. While the story is thin, the sense of progression and the satisfyingly responsive mechanics keep things engaging. Shiro isn’t trying to reinvent the formula, just deliver a clean, challenging run through a well-worn genre.
