Shita ni is a surreal, self-directed exploration game built with RPG Maker. You navigate shifting dreamscapes that reflect a young girl's fractured psyche. There are no explicit instructions, just a series of eerie environments to wander, cryptic notes to find, and abstract puzzles to piece together. The pace is entirely your own, with no pressure to follow a linear path. The game's visuals and audio design create a disquieting atmosphere that's hard to shake. Some players appreciate the minimalist approach while others find the lack of guidance frustrating. Most sessions last around 2-3 hours. While not every mystery is satisfyingly resolved the contrast between beauty and unease lingers.
