About

SkiFree is a straightforward skiing game where you race down a slope avoiding obstacles like trees and dogs. Use keyboard or mouse to steer your skier through three modes: slalom, tree slalom, and freestyle. Slalom has you weaving around flags for speed while tree slalom adds collisions. Freestyle lets you jump ramps and pull off tricks for points. Crashes or bad landings cost time. The farther you go the faster it gets until the 2000-meter mark when a snowman starts chasing you. The game’s simplicity and escalating tension make it addictive. The snowman chase adds a classic horror twist to the otherwise lighthearted gameplay. Originally released in 1991 but still available on modern platforms, it’s a relic that holds up for quick sessions. Its lack of polish feels nostalgic but the challenge remains sharp. Players often revisit it for the satisfying mix of skill and luck in dodging obstacles while racing against time.
