About

Slayaway Camp is a puzzle game where you play as Skullface, a vengeful killer with a taste for over-the-top violence. Using an isometric view, you maneuver through colorful environments to dispatch blocky campers using traps, weapons, and creative gore. Each level feels like a twisted Rube Goldberg machine, requiring precise timing and resource management to achieve your bloody goals. The tone balances dark humor with slapstick carnage, making every kill both satisfying and absurd. The game stands out for its sheer variety. Over 200 levels span 10 "videotapes," packed with escalating chaos like SWAT team encounters and explosive land mines. Voice work by Mark Meer and Derek Mears adds cult-favorite energy, while unlockable "Gore-Pak" scenes introduce even more brutal kills, from lawnmower massacres to ancient rituals. A ridiculous hair-metal soundtrack ties it all together, cementing its status as a niche indie favorite. Released in 2016, it’s still praised for its inventive mechanics and unapologetic silliness.

Today their legacy is all but forgotten, and a modern youth camp sits atop their ancient burial site. But never mind all that. In 1983, on Thursday the 12th, an innocent camp prank went terribly wrong. And now, one year later, the hideously disfigured victim has returned to take his gruesome revenge…"
