About

You control a dog named Ralph who must guide his sleepwalking owner, Lee, through a series of perilous levels. Lee moves forward relentlessly, oblivious to hazards like spikes and gaps that could wake him or kill him. Your job is to nudge Lee away from danger using environmental objects or redirect his path by triggering traps. A sleep meter at the top of the screen counts down, let it hit zero and Lee jolts awake, costing you a life. The challenge grows as levels introduce more obstacles, forcing you to plan moves far ahead to neutralize threats before Lee reaches them. Ralph, however, can take risks Lee can’t: he’s impervious to harm and often meets his fate with slapstick resilience. Sleepwalker stands out for its clever twist on platforming mechanics. Unlike typical sidescrollers, success here hinges on indirect control and timing. Ralph’s antics add a layer of absurd humor to tense moments, especially when he survives crushing squashes or falls. Though released in 1993, its puzzle-focused design feels surprisingly modern, emphasizing strategy over reflexes. The simplicity of Lee’s sleep meter creates a constant, low-pressure tension that keeps each level feeling like a delicate balancing act.
