Snood 2: On Vacation flips the formula by trapping colorful critters in a circular tube where physics go haywire. Use a grappling hook to yank snoods from the floor and fling them upward, aiming to match three of the same color. Each shot sends them ricocheting unpredictably, get the angles wrong and they’ll scatter, clogging the board faster than you can blink. Time limits and shifting layouts force quick thinking while the level itself spins out of control, turning stable ground into a chaotic maze mid-level. The game’s standout twist is its warped geometry. With no straight walls to bounce off, every launch feels like a gamble. The 2005 release for Game Boy Advance and DS leaned into touch-screen controls and portable puzzle tension. Players stuck in the rotation mechanic often describe it as equal parts maddening and addictive. While it doesn’t reinvent the match-3 genre, the spinning tube and grappling hook mechanic carved out a niche. Casual puzzlers looking for something offbeat might find it still holds up in short bursts.
