Solar Siege casts you as a commander managing a network of space stations. You balance resource allocation defend against waves of enemy ships and upgrade defenses using a hex based grid system. Each mission requires adapting strategies to changing threats with a focus on positioning and efficient energy distribution. Matches are turn based but the pacing feels urgent due to timed phases and limited rebuild opportunities. The hex based layout adds a tactical layer to standard tower defense mechanics forcing players to think several moves ahead. While the single player campaign is concise the difficulty curve keeps things engaging. Released in late 2016 it remains a sharp cerebral choice for strategy fans on mobile. The lack of multiplayer or online features doesn’t hurt its replay value thanks to randomized enemy patterns and optional challenges.
