SolCycle casts you as PRIV-8, a robot cat archaeologist stuck reliving the same day in a solar-powered robot society. Each loop lets you trade resources with quirky plant-fueled citizens using card-based bargaining. You’ll balance their needs against your quest for a mysterious artifact, managing time and inventory to break the cycle. The single-player story blends exploration with tactical trading, letting you experiment with different barter strategies to unlock hidden paths. What grabs attention is the tight loop of planning and consequence. The card mechanics force creative problem solving, sometimes you trade tools for favors, other times you hoard supplies for later runs. While the art style and robot culture feel fresh, early playtests note the pacing can frustrate if loops drag. Still, fans of puzzle-heavy indies might appreciate the 15-hour average playtime. Out June 2025 on PC, Mac, and Linux.
