Somber places you on the abandoned R.R.C Titan, a massive factory ship drifting near a dying star for thirty years. You wake up with no memory of your identity or arrival. A humanoid robot named Rick contacts you immediately to say the facility's automated workforce is now hostile and will kill any intruders. He offers to guide you out of the wreck if you help him survive, but trust is not guaranteed. You must navigate the rotting corridors while deciding who to believe in this single-player adventure. The mystery of why the company vanished without a trace hangs over every decision you make. Players can check community ratings on PlayPile to see how others feel about the story twists and survival mechanics. The relationship with Rick shifts based on your actions, creating different outcomes for each run. It is a tense indie experience where the atmosphere feels heavy with dread rather than action. There are no combat tutorials or safe zones to hide in once you step onto the bridge.
