Song of Horror follows an assistant investigating a missing writer's home where a malevolent AI known as The Presence watches and adapts. Players explore tense environments solve environmental puzzles and avoid or confront the entity that shifts its behavior based on choices. Each run changes due to the AI's unpredictable responses with no saving progress, death resets the experience but not the growing dread. The game's strength lies in its reactive design. The Presence alters encounters making repetition rare and tension high. Sparse narrative delivery through notes and environmental clues lets players piece together the dark mystery. Though released in 2019 it maintains a cult following for its relentless atmosphere and punishing difficulty. Expect long hours spent second-guessing every creak and shadow.
