You play as Nadia, a summoned warrior who bonds with magical creatures in a world eaten by creeping corruption. Each session is a turn-based battle against shifting threats, where you collect and upgrade beasts to build a team that adapts to the dangers ahead. The roguelike structure means no two runs feel the same, new enemy types, terrain changes, and random loot force you to rethink tactics every time. Combat is methodical but fast, balancing positioning and elemental weaknesses to outmaneuver foes. Soulkin shines in its creature system. Bonding mechanics let you tweak abilities based on how you fight, creating a personal playstyle across 12 unique species. While the art and music lean into cozy fantasy, the difficulty spikes keep it tense. With a March 2025 release on PC and Mac, early demos show a solid foundation that’s already drawing praise for its depth. The core loop of collect, fight, adapt feels tight enough to hook strategy fans without overcomplicating the turn-based formula.
