Space Battle VR is an indie action shooter that drops you into the cockpit of a spaceship. Using VR controllers you take direct control of weapons and movement systems as you fight enemy fleets. The single player campaign tasks you with defending human colonies and turning the tide of an interstellar war. Fast paced dogfights and squad based missions keep the action varied. The VR mechanics are the main hook here letting you physically reach for controls and track targets in 360 degrees. While the story is straightforward the combat focuses on tight gunplay and quick thinking. Released in late 2018 it still holds up as a solid choice for players wanting a hands on space combat experience.
