"Spectrum is a minimalistic platformer which really tests your patience with it’s more advanced Dark World levels. The simplistic nature of the game makes this a great game to pick up and play in short bursts, but there is also enough content for longer play sessions as well. The addition of a two-player time-attack mode was fun, but it doesn’t deviate from the core mechanic of the main game or offer anything new other than declaring who’s the fastest between the two players. However, based on the current price point and how much time Spectrum entertained us, I wouldn’t have any issues recommending this to casual gamers or those looking for a simple game they can just pick up and play."

Spectrubes is a puzzle game that wraps brain-teasing challenges in a retro-inspired aesthetic. You manipulate color-coded beams and geometric shapes to solve levels, each designed to test spatial reasoning and timing. The action unfolds in a vibrant, synthwave-streaked world where every solution alters the environment, creating a chain reaction of light and motion. Simple controls let you focus on the puzzles themselves, which escalate from straightforward setups to complex, multi-layered sequences. The game stands out for its tight level design and nostalgic visual flair. With 85% positive reviews on Steam from over 3,200 players, it balances accessibility and difficulty smoothly. Procedurally generated levels add replay value while maintaining a consistent art style rooted in 80s design. A synth-heavy soundtrack pulses through each level, amplifying the sense of progression. While some late-game puzzles spike in complexity, the lack of save mid-level keeps the momentum from lagging.
