About

You’re running a colony of tiny, squirming creatures that act like a cross between Pikmin and The Sims. Each Sproot needs constant attention for food and water, with their camp always tethered to a life plant that handles the hydration side. Your job is to scavenge resources, feed the little guys, and keep the population growing before they all croak at 60. Breeding new eggs is key to keeping things running, while older Sproots can learn skills, build tools, and pass knowledge to others. It’s a real-time management loop that mixes exploration with survival. What stands out is the balance between hands-off simulation and active problem solving. The creatures handle basic needs on their own but need you to step in for bigger tasks like crafting or teaching. While it doesn’t break new ground in the genre, the relaxing pace and charming art make it a solid 2019 indie that’s easy to overlook. The strategy elements lean more toward observation than frantic clicking, which works well for casual players who like their base-building with a slow burn.
