Star Trek: Infinite is a strategy game that lets you shape your own Star Trek narrative as the leader of one of four major galactic factions. Choose between the United Federation of Planets, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, or Cardassian Union and steer them through conflict, diplomacy, or covert operations. Each faction offers distinct playstyles and iconic characters like Picard, Gowron, or Garak to guide your decisions. Manage resources, negotiate alliances, and command fleets in real time while balancing long-term goals with immediate threats. The game blends turn-based strategy with action-driven combat and branching story elements. This title marks the first Star Trek game built around grand strategy mechanics, giving players full control over how they expand their influence. With over 20 playable leaders and a mix of scripted events and player-driven choices, the game adapts to how you play. Early access feedback highlighted the depth of faction customization and the flexibility to pursue peace or conquest. Available on PC and Mac since October 2023, it offers solo campaigns or competitive multiplayer modes for those looking to test their tactics against others.

Storyline

The player has a multitude of several ways to play the game. Routes include diplomacy, espionage, warfare or a mix of any of these options. The player can pick one of the factions to be the leader of including the United Federation of Planets, Klingon Empire, Romulan Star Empire, or Cardassian Union. Factions have their own iconic characters including Picard, Janeway, Sisko, and Data to name a few for the Federation; and Gowron, Makbar, Garak, and many more in other factions.
