Stay Still is a first-person horror game that blends puzzle solving with tense stealth mechanics. You play as Nam navigating a eerie urban house filled with supernatural threats. The goal isn’t to fight but to survive by solving environmental puzzles while avoiding malevolent spirits that hunt you. The game emphasizes careful observation, every creak, shadow, and flickering light matters. Progress unfolds through exploration, with cryptic clues hidden in Vietnam-inspired settings that shape the story’s unsettling tone. The game stands out for its atmospheric tension and cultural specificity. Player reviews note the effective use of sound design and sparse storytelling to build unease. While the puzzles occasionally stumble into awkward design, the overall experience leans into psychological dread rather than jump scares. Developed by a duo of indie creators, one veteran, one newcomer, the project feels raw but sincere. With a runtime around three to four hours, it’s a short but unsettling journey that lingers.
You won't survive in Stay Still (previously The Horrors: Lost Tape), a first-person psychological horror game developed by a team of small indie game developers. You play as Nam, explore the urban house and try to survive long enough to discover its terrible dark secret... if you dare. The game is developed by two passionate indie game developers, one that has experience in the game development field, and another one that is just starting out, and with the help of the experienced developer, the other one could learn and improve in the field. This project is an experiment, but we personally believe it's a good one.
