Stone Age Wars lets you build and command a squad of prehistoric fighters in turn-based battles against endless enemy waves. Each character has distinct skills like throwing spears or healing allies. You manage resources to upgrade weapons and unlock new units while adapting strategies to survive increasingly tough encounters. The straightforward combat focuses on positioning and ability timing without overwhelming complexity. Released in 2017 this PC-only title has maintained a small but dedicated following. With 12 base units and randomized enemy compositions it offers decent replay value for strategy fans. The retro art style and simple mechanics make it easy to pick up though deeper mastery of unit synergies takes time.
