Stratum Descent is a rogue-lite card game where you build your own deck to explore layered dungeons and battle bosses. Each run starts fresh as you collect new cards, relics, and upgrades to push deeper. The procedurally generated levels shift every playthrough, forcing you to adapt strategies against tough enemies and evolving challenges. Character progression lets you tweak abilities and playstyles, but one mistake can send you back to the start. What stands out is the pairing of deck building with dungeon crawling, featuring over 100 cards to discover and combine. Boss fights require timing and resource management, balancing offense and defense. While That Indie Studio's previous titles leaned on action, this one focuses on card choices and risk-reward decisions. Early access feedback shows players appreciate the replayability, though some found the difficulty in later levels to be quite steep.
