Each match forces you to manage units, capture objectives, and outmaneuver opponents. The single-player options let you set AI difficulty and army assignments, while multiplayer modes scale up the chaos. New facilities like rail stations and labs add strategic depth, letting you reinforce positions or expand mobility. The game’s standout is its General system, seven leaders with distinct skills that tweak gameplay. Some boost unit stats, others alter map hazards. Combined with eight fresh units and asymmetrical stage design, it keeps matches feeling varied. Though it never got a Western release, it’s a key stepping stone between Famicom Wars and the Advance Wars series.
