This is the third entry in a long-running Super Famicom mahjong series from I'Max. Released in 1994, it pits players against each other in matches that require matching tiles in sequences or sets to score points. The single player mode challenges you to beat computer opponents while the multiplayer option lets up to four people play together on one system. Controls are straightforward but the AI opponents vary in difficulty making each game session feel distinct. The game stands out for its inclusion of both single and multiplayer modes which was a nice touch for a home console release in the 90s. Though it lacks the bells and whistles of modern mahjong games it still holds up as a solid entry in the genre. The simple presentation focuses on the gameplay which is where the series has always shined.
