A shadowy figure steps in to guide him through a series of bizarre quests involving talking totoas, dodging Goomba guards, and collecting hidden power-ups. Combat mixes turn-based strategy with platforming jumps while a nonlinear story branches based on dialogue choices. The game leans into its absurd premise with intentionally clunky mechanics and pixel-art visuals that mix charm with deliberate retro ugliness. The game’s April 1 release date isn’t a coincidence.
