Super Mario Generations lets you toggle between two versions of the mustachioed hero in a side-scrolling platformer. Classic Mario is slower with simpler physics while Modern Mario handles with sharper controls and expanded moves. Each level revisits iconic stages from past games but reworks them with new hazards obstacles and mechanics. The dual playstyles force creative problem solving as you switch between Marios to unlock paths and bypass challenges. The game shines through its clever reimagining of old environments and the way swapping characters changes each level’s difficulty curve. Developer OssieTheOstrich packs in over 40 remixed stages with varying lengths and difficulty spikes. While not every level lands perfectly the best ones feel like fresh twists on nostalgic playgrounds. A handful of community testers noted minor physics glitches but praised the tight controls and the satisfaction of mastering both Marios’ distinct strengths.
