"Super Mario Party Jamboree is something of a mixed experience. Its main mode, while offering a truly solid selection of fun minigames and interesting boards, suffers from a frustratingly slow rate of play. Unless it's addressed in a future update, most players are probably going to eventually get tired of everything taking longer than it should. Most of the side modes are “take it or leave it” affairs as well, but Koopathlon, Toad’s Item Factory and especially Bowser’s Kaboom Squad are together good enough to make up for that. Fans with friends to play it with will feel satisfied with Super Mario Party Jamboree, but those who don’t probably need not rush to pick this one up."

Super Mario Party Jamboree brings over 110 mini-games to the Nintendo Switch, making it the largest collection in the franchise. Players choose from seven different boards like Goomba Lagoon or Rainbow Galleria to race for stars. The game supports single player, co-op, and multiplayer modes. You can also try Koopathlon, a new online mode that lets twenty people compete at once using motion controls for activities like minigolf or merry-go-rounds. Critics have responded well to the expanded content and refined mechanics. OpenCritic shows an 81 out of 100 score with nearly 90 percent of reviewers recommending it. Publications like The Games Machine and Nintendo Life praised the variety in new activities and the improved core loop. This title feels substantial enough for both casual sessions and competitive online matches without needing a long introduction to get started.
