Developed by NOW Production and published by Hudson Soft, it lets players manage seasons through pennant races and all-star events or test skills in a standalone Home Run Derby. The game uses oversized sprites for batters to emphasize visual clarity during swings and slides, balancing simplicity with enough depth to track team performance over time. The title launched a long-running series with three direct sequels on the Super Famicom and later appearances on PC Engine and PC-FX. Though exclusive to Japan, it built a cult following among retro sports fans for its straightforward approach to baseball strategy.
