Super Trio is a 1994 platformer where players guide a mouse, cat, or dog through surreal levels built from household objects. The game throws you into vibrant, modern-day settings like kitchens and living rooms turned into vertical challenges. Each character plays identically but offers a distinct look, and two players can team up on split-screen for co-op runs. Stages are packed with power-ups, healing items, and lightning strikes to clear the way for boss fights. Every level has a strict time limit and no save option, forcing you to master the layouts from scratch each playthrough. The game’s strategic vibe comes from balancing speed and resource management. Players must plan routes around hazards and enemy placements while juggling upgrades. Despite its quirky premise of battling a resurrected vampire in a mundane environment, the focus stays on tight platforming and teamwork. With roots in Korean arcade culture, it’s a no-frills challenge that still holds up for fans of old-school co-op action. Released on DOS and arcade systems, it remains a niche pick for those craving precise, pressure-packed gameplay.
The player takes control of either the mouse Jake, the cat Tomi, or the dog Brudo. All the three characters play the same and are only distinguished visually. Two players can team up by selecting two out of the three protagonists. Weapon upgrades, health-restoring items, and lightning attacks can be found throughout the stages. Each stage has a rather strict time limit and ends with a boss battle. There is no possibility to save the game.
