Superman Returns is a beat 'em up game where you play as the Man of Steel to defend Metropolis. Developed in 2006, it follows the movie's story and adds comic book elements. Fight waves of enemies using super strength and flight. The single-player campaign lets you take on Bizarro and other villains, with some minigames offering a Bizarro perspective. Available on multiple platforms, but the PSP version was scrapped. The game features the movie's cast, including Brandon Routh and Kevin Spacey. EA Orlando aimed for a strong visual style but faced criticism for repetitive gameplay. While the voice acting and Superman's abilities are highlights, the combat can feel basic.
