Surf Ninjas casts you as Johnny McQuinn a surfer with ninja skills fighting to save his island from Colonel Chi. The game unfolds across side-scrolling stages from California to the South China Sea. You bash waves of ninjas with a single button while another lets you explore buildings. A limited inventory holds one item at a time helping solve minor puzzles between brawls. Combat is straightforward but repetitive with little variation in attacks or enemies. Based on the 1993 film this Amiga/CD32 title leans into its quirky premise of surf culture meets martial arts. Released in 1994 it offers a relic-like look at 90s beat 'em up design with chiptune music and pixelated visuals. While community reviews are sparse the game’s oddball charm and direct controls make it a niche pick for retro fans. Its blend of scrolling fights and building exploration feels dated but functional.
