Survival Run is a single player arcade shooter from 1983 that drops you in a starfighter chasing aliens through underground tunnels. You follow a computer map through winding cavern systems while shooting force fields and enemy guards. The goal is reaching the Alien Master’s command ship before he obliterates Earth. Controls are straightforward but demand quick reflexes as you dodge obstacles and fire photon torpedoes. The game ramps up intensity with tighter corridors and faster enemy waves as you progress toward the final boss encounter. This Milton Bradley title stands out as an early example of sci-fi shooter mechanics on the Atari 2600. While visuals are blocky by modern standards the frantic pacing and simple but effective level design keep it engaging.
