Surviving the Humans puts you in the shoes of Cooper, a zombie who wakes up in the 1980s with no memory of his past life. You play through a point-and-click adventure where your main goal is to figure out what it means to be undead while humans try to kill you. Since you lack physical strength, you must rely on your wits to solve puzzles and stay alive. The story follows Cooper as he navigates a town torn apart by two factions fighting for control. You have to make choices that determine your survival without ever stepping into a fight you cannot win. The game stands out because it flips the usual zombie trope on its head. Instead of hunting humans, you are the one being hunted while trying to understand your new existence. Players rate this indie title highly for its unique perspective and engaging 80s setting. It does not rely on action sequences or complex combat systems. The focus remains on narrative and puzzle solving within a tense environment where every human encounter is dangerous. This approach makes the game feel fresh without needing to reinvent the genre completely. You will find yourself invested in Cooper's story as he learns to survive in a world that wants him dead.
Follow the story of Cooper, a zombie who wakes up in the 80's without remembering anything about his past. And out of nowhere, he has to figure out what it is to be a zombie and realize that his life changed forever. Now what he used to be; a human is his enemy. Humans are known to try to kill the unknown, and Cooper is no exception. Two factions clash for control of the town. We do not have physical strength, in fact, it is difficult for us to keep our members in place, but we can use our intelligence to solve puzzles and thus achieve our goal which is to survive humans.
