Suzuki Alstare Extreme Racing is a motorcycle racing game from Criterion Games that pits players against AI opponents in two distinct modes. Time trial challenges focus on single races with four to seven computer-controlled rivals while the championship mode strings together 16 consecutive events across 16 tracks. Progress unlocks new bikes and courses starting with limited options and gradually expanding as you succeed. A key gameplay element is the wheelie maneuver which provides a brief acceleration boost adding a layer of strategy to races. The game supports single player and split screen multiplayer making it easy for friends to compete locally. Its 1998 release date means it shows its age but the progression system and straightforward racing mechanics still hold up. Available on PC Dreamcast and Game Boy Color it offers a nostalgic look at early 2000s racing games with a focus on earning better equipment through consistent performance.
