Sycamore is a brief top-down adventure with a dreamlike art style and a focus on exploration. You navigate between planets and a spaceship, switching between fast-paced flight and slow, deliberate movement on the surface. The goal is to uncover hidden items scattered across surreal worlds, requiring close inspection of environments and experimentation with interactions. Each planet follows a specific order, adding structure to the otherwise open-ended search. The game’s minimalist design and cryptic visuals create an eerie, contemplative mood. Made in five days for LSDJAM 2023, it leans into indie charm with rough edges and a DIY feel. While short, its atmospheric puzzles and unconventional pacing leave a memorable impression. Small details like shifting color palettes and ambient sound design enhance the sense of drifting through an alien cosmos.
