System Invaders casts you as a digital defender fighting off endless virus waves invading a computer. You blast through five chapters filled with over 125 increasingly chaotic enemy waves, mixing rapid shooting and strategic upgrades. The game’s simple yet frenetic controls make it easy to jump into solo or team up with friends for local or online co-op. Each wave throws new enemy types and power-ups your way keeping the action fresh even as the difficulty spikes. The standout here is the co-op mode which scales smoothly from two players making tough waves more manageable with shared firepower. While the visuals stick to basic 2D sprites the tight shooting loops and escalating tension more than make up for it. With no story to slow things down it’s pure arcade-style mayhem that’s easy to pick up but tough to master. The lack of online leaderboards is a minor miss but the relentless wave format ensures every session feels like a new challenge.
