Taiko no Tatsujin 3 is the third entry in the rhythm-based drum-bashing series. You hit Taiko drums in time with on-screen cues as songs play. The game adds 19 new tracks to previous entries and keeps the Balloon notes that pop when matched. Play solo or take turns in multiplayer matches. Split-screen lets two players share a cabinet. The Battle Mode lets you challenge others in head-to-head scoring. Each match uses random songs from the tracklist. High scores and quick reflexes matter more than strategy. Released in 2002, it builds on earlier versions with more songs and modes. The arcade-only release keeps it straightforward and fast paced.
