Tails Soccer is a simple arcade sports game designed for handheld LCD screens. You control Tails as he tries to block soccer balls from reaching a net behind him. Each successful block moves you closer to advancing to the next level while increasing the speed of the action. Miss five balls and it's game over. The challenge comes from the rising difficulty as you progress which tests your reflexes and timing. Released in 2004 this title was bundled with McDonald's Happy Meals for a short period. It shares mechanics with other small-screen sports games of the era like Knuckles Soccer. With its straightforward goal and increasing tension it offers a brief but addictive experience. Players had to beat it quickly since the limited time offer meant many treated it as a collectible novelty.
