Taiyaki Fabulous Museum of Fish

About

Taiyaki Fabulous Museum of Fish drops you on Fishcross Island to hunt for the Power of 7 Fish. You explore both land and water, chatting with oddball locals and collecting items to advance. Core gameplay revolves around nonogram puzzles, solving them unlocks tools and reveals hidden paths. The Game Boy and Game Boy Color ports keep the visuals simple but colorful, with a focus on tight puzzle design and a quirky narrative that hints at something bigger beneath the surface. The game’s charm comes from its absurd humor and clever integration of puzzles into the world. While the story stays light, the nonograms feel fresh, offering a balance of logic and discovery. Early builds from Objet Discret suggest a strong grasp of retro platforming constraints, making the island feel surprisingly cohesive for a handheld title. If you’ve ever wanted to track down seven mythical fish while dodging cryptic NPCs, this one’s got a hook.
