Tales of Phantasia is a role-playing game where players guide a group of warriors battling a sorcerer named Dhaos across multiple timelines. Combat blends real-time movement with strategic turn-based mechanics letting you position characters mid-battle for tactical advantage. The story follows four heroes who initially defeated Dhaos but must seal him away again after he escapes through time using mystical pendants as the world’s last hope. This 1995 title pushed the Super Famicom further than most with detailed sprites and smooth animations. It introduced voice acting to the series and featured a full vocal theme song performed by Masaki Kurosawa, a rarity for the platform at the time. Storyline

Tales of Phantasia begins by showing a heroic battle between four unknown warriors against an evil sorcerer, Dhaos, the outcome of which changed the fate of the world. The warriors are victorious, but Dhaos escapes through time. However, four different heroes await him: they seal the weakened Dhaos away by using the power of two pendants, thus returning peace to the world.
