Task Force casts you as a commando in a skyscraper siege. Terrorists hold hostages in each floor, and you guide a missile through narrow hallways to eliminate them. The challenge lies in timing shots, enemies pop into windows to fire back, forcing you to react before they vanish. But be careful, some stand behind shields made of hostages. Missiles blast through walls but risk collateral damage. The Atari 2600/7800 hardware gives it a grainy, frantic feel where split-second decisions matter most. The game’s tension comes from its cruel arithmetic: you have limited missiles, enemies never miss, and one wrong shot could end the mission. Multiplayer adds competitive flair as players take turns trying to outmaneuver each other. While rough by modern standards, its simplicity and nerve-testing gameplay earned it a cult spot among retro arcade fans. A 1988 relic that still delivers heart-in-mouth action if you can handle the pixelated chaos.
