Tead is a visual novel that mixes RPG and puzzle elements with a murder mystery twist. You play as one of 12 strangers trapped in a mysterious room. The catch: one person is the Game Master, and your goal is to kill them. But be careful, anyone who kills the wrong person faces death unless they can convince others they’re innocent. The game hinges on social deduction, forcing you to gather clues, craft arguments, and navigate shifting alliances. Every choice impacts who lives, who dies, and how close you get to the truth. The game’s strength lies in its tight tension and moral ambiguity. Accusations can backfire, secrets figure out quickly, and the line between hunter and hunted blurs as deaths mount. Tead released September 2023 on PC, Linux, and Mac. Its blend of dialogue-driven intrigue and high-stakes consequences makes it a standout for clever, character-driven mysteries. The twist of targeting the Game Master adds layers to typical survival setups, keeping players second-guessing every move.
12 strangers wake up in a room. They're told one of them is secretly the Game Master, and they must try to kill the Game Master. But if one of them murders someone who's not the Game Master, the murderer will be killed unless they can convince others they were not the murderer. The others must figure out who the murderer is or they will all die. Collect evidence, make arguments, and identify the murderer, but don't lose sight of the ultimate goal of eliminating the Game Master. Many will die along the way, but remember: Their Endings Are Deserved.
