Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brings the 2014 movie to Nintendo 3DS with straightforward beat ’em up action. You control one of the four heroes in the half-shell battling through hordes of enemies in side-scrolling stages. Combat focuses on basic melee attacks, special moves, and occasional vehicle sections. The single-player campaign follows the film’s plot closely with minimal branching paths or character customization. The game benefits from Danny Woodburn’s return as Splinter, lending familiar voice work to key scenes. While reviews were mixed, fans of the movie may appreciate the direct adaptation. Simple controls and 3DS’s portable format make it a quick play session option. No major surprises but a functional match for franchise followers.
