Tempest is a pirate-themed action RPG where you sail open seas solo or with friends. Explore three large worlds filled with colonies, forts, and hundreds of quests. Customize your ship's look and layout from sails to figureheads and outfit it with an arsenal of weapons including cannons and flamethrowers. Battle merchants pirates and mythical beasts like krakens while navigating a world that mixes trade combat and exploration. The co-op mode lets up to four players tackle missions together though solo play remains the focus. With 150+ hours of reported playtime by some players and a 70% positive rating on Steam the game's appeal lies in its deep customization and varied encounters. Completing "legend" quests rewards rare artifacts but the real draw is the freedom to plunder trade and build a crew's legend your way.

Storyline

As you navigate the dangerous waters of the game you won’t just catch up with merchants, but you will encounter fellow pirates, creepy followers of a mysterious cult and terrible mythical monsters: Kraken, Leviathan and other infamous creatures. Your ship – the pride and joy of any freebooter – can be customized in many ways. You are free to change almost everything – from the color of your flag and sails to the ship’s hull and figurehead. Of course, there are plenty of weapons to choose from for every battle, including cannons, mortars, flame throwers and so on. Also there are special tools ready to help you to rig the ship for any purpose. However, you can win the most valuable artifacts only by finishing the multilevel quests called “legends”. Good hunting!
