About

Tennis Ace is an adult visual novel set in the world of high school tennis. You play as Yuuichi, an eighteen-year-old aiming to turn pro after his final year of school. The game moves slowly at first with a twelve-day prologue before you unlock different story paths. Four distinct characters await your attention, including Shoichi, a husky volleyball player; Keisuke, a serious hare from the tennis club; Jun, a tiger who loves music and games; and Haruki, an aggressive wolf from the volleyball team. Each route offers a different look at how Yuuichi connects with these animal characters while training for his future career. The story leans heavily on classic Japanese visual novel pacing rather than modern fast cuts. You spend time building relationships before making choices that define your path. The art style and character designs focus on the furry genre to create specific interactions between the anthropomorphic cast members. Players often enjoy the slower start because it allows the characters to feel more grounded before the main routes begin. This approach lets you really get to know Yuuichi and his friends before the story gets complicated.

Storyline

Following in the mold of older, classic Japanese visual novels, Tennis Ace features a larger, slower-paced prologue with twelve in-game days before the player is allowed to choose what route they want to take part in. TA follows the protagonist, Yuuichi, as an 18-year-old aspiring tennis professional in his last year of schooling before finally going pro. The VN has four possible dateable characters: Shoichi, a diligent and affectionate husky that is the MC's childhood friend as well as a volleyball player; Keisuke, an athletic hare that is part of the tennis club coming from an affluent family with a sometimes overly serious nature; Jun, a chubby tiger that is a new transfer student with a gift for music who deeply loves the piano and all things relating to videogames; and finally Haruki, the newest addition to the cast of dateable characters, a wolf in Shoichi's volleyball club, being rough, aggressive and sometimes unfriendly, but with a potential softer side kept locked and hidden away.
